For CR

Just came home to Säfsen after a couple days of good parkskiing and found out that CR Johnson has passed away. CR was one of the biggest names in history when it comes to new school skiing. From his injury a couple of years ago he worked his way back to the sport he finally gave his life to. Tragic.

Rest in peace CR. I hope there is powder in heaven.

Gillersklack the Epic Slope!

Been home for a few days now and it was ages since I visited my homeslope. So yesterday I took a few runs in the awesome slope(s) of Gillersklack. Also brought a cam with me so you all can enjoy the epic riding that´s going down here. The cameras angle is so you wont see how very very steep it is ;)

This is were skiers evolve:

Tomorrow I´m heading over to Piffen so we can pack our stuff in his awesome Volvo and kick back in Sälen for a few days before Disentis.

We are praying for snow, please help Ullr understand us!

So.

Long time not enough said. Let´s just say it´s been hectic for a few days. I usually do a short recap so here it is:

Directly from Arlanda Airport (arrived at night from Colorado) to Sthlm city. Sleep for 5 hours then up to shoot some things.... still can´t tell you for what though - hopefully you´ll see it sometime next week. Was done sometime around 16 and went straight to catch the train home to Kopparberg. Sleep, up, pack out, pack in and on the road again with piffmeister. Got up to Sälen and our homepark Tandådalen 11:45. At 12:00 the Secondhands Golden Air Qualifiers started - me, Niklas and Johannes were judges. Comp for a few hours then to the hotel. Quick shower, a couple of beers, meeting and planning with secondhands then party. Next day we got up cleaned out the mess we had made and headed to our next meeting with Skistar, for the actual Golden Air that´s going off March 26:th. For those who are wondering... it looks great! Only on the planning stage but it´s good plans!

Then it was straight home to attend some family matters and also... sleeeep.

Good times so far. Headed down to Arlanda a couple of days later to meet up with Ola Melin, flight to Röros and then bus to Funäsdalen were we shot the third part of our little project. Things starting to shape up and I think - and hope- it´s going to be a blast for everyone.

Now it´s sunday and after a hectic week it´s starting to slow down. At home after bus, flight, train and car. Tomorrow it´s time to book a new flight, this time with the destination Zürich. Gonna bring out the Ep pros for a ride in pow :)... let´s add “hopefully”. You never know what kind of snow it´s going to be and the weather gods already have a bit of a horn in our side since last year.

I´m beat. Rest and mailtime tomorrow.

Ouuut.

Home sweet home, but first - meetings!

Time to leave Breck behind for Sweden. Feels good, it always does. Though americans are very friendly there is nothing like home.

It´s been a hard month with a few setbacks, but we looked back yesterday and this far we all had a good start at the season. I got two new dubs with me home, and pretty much all old tricks have been done here. Piff got his dubs down aswell and so has Niclas. The other boys (Simon, Kim and Daniel) are happy with the trip and from my point of view, they really shredded the rails! Lasseboy went home before us today and I think he is satisfied as well, though he has seen more pow than us ;)

Yesterday was the longest day in the park. We arrived at 9.20 and didn´t leave until 16.20. It was a day that left some minor aches but damn we did good!

Piffen started out by nailing his sw dub 10, and when I took out the camera suddenly everything went wrong. Grabs were missed, noseblood were poring, bindings flew off, skis broke, crashes were made.... mostly everything was wrong except the weather. But we stayed true to the fattys code (Johan and Jonas does not stop!) so we kept on shredding and landed some really good tricks!

I finally got my kangi down - now with a bit of a new rotation- and managed to style it out a bit with a nice shifty at the end! The sw dubs will need some more work but I hope there will be good jumps home in Sälen so I can wear them in at our homeground.

In a couple of hours we are heading down to Denver Airport and hopefully we´ll have a safe trip home. Friday morning I am starting a new project, and I really can´t say much else. It will be awewsome ;)

Saturday I´ll head up to Sälen for our Secondhands Golden Air Qualifiers. A bit of judging and since we haven´t seen all of our homies in a bit, it will be a 2h gathering aswell. There it will be decided who goes were for the next month. Hopefully I´ll get to head down to the Alps soon.

Time to finish off packing!

Secondhands Colorado signing off.
