Railsess day 3 & 4 Sthlm
Recap from two days ago.
I´ve been struggling with my railinjury so the first day in Sthlm was also my last for theese days. I´ll be back! Anyways, the shredding was on without me so I helped the guys out with what I could - pepptalk, food and shoveling snow.
We started our tueseday with a spotchecking adventure. Snowchaos in Sthlm is nothing you want to be driving around in.
The guys started to hit a downrail but after a few shots we decided that it wasn´t that big so we left for a fourkink under a bridge - could be compared to a sincere deathkink. Large and narrow kinks that wasn´t to fast, so a few fellows got some edges caught. Mattias managed to get down all kinks and Piffen threw down a 270 out. Good job considering the look of it. Simon on the other hand tried to crush a big pillar with his head... unfortunatly the pillar was made of cement and gave him a minor concussion. His helmet did a good job taking the impact though.
During this session I went home to rest, but the other guys killed a downrail later on.
Next day started out with a choir of ouches. Me, Piff and Daniel started to feel the stairs that we tried to be friends with. But instead of going home we went out to meet up with Adam Falk and his filmer Nicke. Good guys that had found a narrow ass doublekink with a huge elbow. Wisely enough I was thinking of Breckenridge and stepped down. So did Piffen an hour later when the rail hugged his knee.. really, really hard.
One down - to two go said the elbow. Adam and Daniel replied with some really nasty crashes and then slipped down all the way trough the crazy kinks and steezed out the landing. Nice! Mr Neuman from transition got some sweet photos, and our filmer Johan (who suffered from a hurlingdisorder) plus Nicke got the clips. (So did I - with Adams new supercamera).
The elbow was done, and we headed to eat. Two hours later we met up at the biggest fourkink I have ever seen! Just huge! All went quick here. Just six hours later Niklas Karlsson had beaten the beast, Piffen had broke his poles, Daniel looked like an exhausted whale, Adam was stearing with blank eyes and Johan was hurling his way home.
Imagin the speed at the end!
Just huge!
Shortly - One made it down, and at this beast of a rail it´s more luck than skills to make it all the way down! Though tons of cred to Niklas who killed it and made it all worth!
Trough it all it was a good trip with worth shots for the Secondhands and nice photos from Mr Neuman. We had a lot of fun as always and met some nice people including cops that just were stoked on what we were doing. For now it´s christmas time and this means some time to heal up.
Merry Christmas!
