A few days left

Not sick, but the fever took some of my muscles with it, so today it was just a nice day in Freeway working on some old tricks - trying to bring them back in the game.

Went kind of good. Learned some new grabs so at least I am progressing. Filmed a few lines and I got a banger on Piffen. Good to have in our filmstash :)

Tomorrow I am going to take it easy and just hit the park for a few hours. It´s more people in the lifts then in the slopes so our parklift that used to be almost empty is now stocked with tourists. Better to wait til monday and get those sw dubs in.

For the ones who didn´t see it. The X games Big Air went of yesterday... and I don´t know what to say. It was crazy. See for yourself!

And today it was the slopestyle finals. Bobby Brown took the first and our norwegian friend Andreas Håtveit stomped in on second place. Good runs and superstylish! No video on it yet. Will post it tomorrow!

Tubtime now, see ya!

This is not my trip.

First feeling of the day was - "I hate my body". Woke up freezing. Fever? Offcourse! Bluebird? Offcourse!

So I went out with Piffen and Niklas to the slopes. Couldn´t get my head together. All dizzy and my muscles felt like they had run a marathon during the night. Got some good shots of Piffen and Niklas so I hope the filmers back home are happy when we get back. Luckely I couldn´t ski today, so I guess I´ll get my shots somewhere around 2066.

Fu**ing sh**ty f***ed up body you can go to **ll.

As I said. Not my trip.

Niklas did good today and got his sw dub 1080. So did atleast 4 other riders.... again, lucky I can´t ski on a perfect day so I also can work on my new tricks.

I hope I wake up tommorrow feeling great and that it is the storm of the century outside... or if someone perhaps have stolen my skis... I guess something gotta happend because it seems like I can´t catch a break.

Screw this, I´m going to bed.

Fml.

Dubday!

Bluebird today... Awesome!

Finally we have gotten something worth on film! A couple of runs from me and Piffen that includes sw dubs! Actually I did a new one today ;) Managed to get an aquard spin out on the first dub for the day, and pulled of a double switch seven! Good landing but no camera for that one. No worries though, I´m sure I´ll be able to put it down during the season. Felt weird. Kind of like a sw double lincoln that in a way lookes like it´s a pretzel in the end of it. Well.... as I said, no good one on tape yet but it will come!

At least I got my sw dub 9 down and now i just need some more speed into the jumps so I can carrie it out with a good grab. Bluebird tomorrow so I guess my neck is going to hurt some more after the day is done. Feeling confident and I know what I have to do.

Soon time for the x games. We got home in time to watch the prelims, stoked to see Bobby Browns sw dub bio 12... such a sick trick... and he stomped it into second place after Andreas Håtveit. We´ll see what they will throw down tomorrow at the finals. Today it´s pipe and we´re all set up for a good time in front of the tv!

Also, I found this awesome video at Gebe & Wahlstrands blogg.... our sport does not really have a name... but this is where we hale from ;)

Til later, be well!

Bluebird then storm, but first crashes.

Bluebird yesterday... for three hours. And thoose three hours went really bad. Soft snow on the kickers and snowboardtracks all over the place. Don´t get me wrong, I have nothing against snowboarders or their tracks, but this time I caught edges all day long.... wich resulted in two major crashes in the bigger park here in Breck. Ouch. No worries though. Only a few bruises and once again... a bit of a stiff neck. Not as bad as it has been but it has definetly felt better.

Today was a better day. Cruised my day through with soft fivers and my afterbang under my feet. Still soft snow in the kickers but less tracks made it a good day. But then again, the weather is not on our side. After two hours of sun, the clouds came in and we couldn´t spot the landings due to the flat light.

Piffens ski that has been in for repair busted open again so we decided to make it a short day (tomorrow it is supposed to be sun all day) and get his skis fixed. Went into Frisco and made Walmart unsafe. Home now and we have just pieced Piffens skis together with lots of glue and ducktape. Hope it works, and hope we are fit for fight tomorrow... only a week left and we haven´t got that much on film for Secondhands yet. Beginning to be a bit stressed out but since the weather is deciding when we can film, we can´t do much else but wait for the right moment.

No pics. No edit. Just an update..... and oyeah, Jon did a new trick the other day on our own turf home in Sälen.... You bee the judges on whats new and not. My personal view of his new trick is: It´s a crazy trick and I am sure his going to make it famous. And that´s a good landing on a new trick, I am really impressed! But then again... do you really need to build a jump just for yourself that is so perfect that you can´t do anything but succeed?

I know tons of kids who can throw down sick tricks in a perfectly shaped jump. Let all join in on a perfect day. That´s skiing. To make it for yourself... that´s money. Nothing else.

Storm, snow and flatlight

Not much has happend here - thats why it´s been no updates. My neck is getting much better and I´ve been out with the other guys shredding some rails.

The weather has turned on us, and the first week of bluebird is now swapped with snowstorms releasing eachother. Flatlight, snow and hard winds makes it hard to jump, so we are keeping a low profile now waiting for the right day to get those shots. Pretty much everyone has a new trick up their sleeve and when the time comes it´s gonna be a trickmarathon on followcam!

Today it´s pokernight at our place with our norwegian friends and some random dudes from Colorado. Last night I lost on a really good hand, so tonight I hope for luck! ;)

<<<<< Almost like this ;)

Til next update - may the sun shine on you all!

Massage and lifestyleshots

Still a bad neck, but it´s getting better. Went in for my second massage today and feel ripped off. New Masseus and she was bad. Really bad. And I am pissed off! 70 $ for something that I´ve could have done with a hammer and a bit of help from Piffen.

Anyways, snowing today and looks like it´s going to continue for atleast two days more. I will try to stay still and stretch my neck out of pain until the bluebird shows up. Then it´s on.

Got a nice dinner at a chinese place with all the dudes and some good lifestyle shots for secondhands. I hope they are ripping at home.

Here is a small edit from our norwegian friends:

Back to the warming of muscles for now!

I hate my neck.

So, Woke up today and my neck is now officially hated by me. God damn muscles don´t seem to let go. Stiff as hell and can´t look over my shoulder. Looks like it´s gonna be a lot of rest. This is among the worst things that could happened right now. Got a new trick down that I want to work on but can´t because of one single muscle in the neck. It´s not even a big muscle! Irritating and really frustrating.

Anyways, at home and the others are hitting breck today. Kind of dull weather with clouds and very little sun. I hope they film some so I atleast can edit some shortys tomorrow.

Last week me and Piff had a small slopecomp, competing against ourselves. We got to runs each. No stopping. One filmed the other. Piffens run is further down and here is my best run.

Stay fresh... I´ll be here with my liniment hanging out in our crib.

Peace out!

Epic fails?

Not much has happened the last few days. Some chilltime and shopping in Silverthorne (New sneakers and new jeans for about 400 sek - yes it is that cheap here!! :) ).

Have tried to hit the jumps but my neck don´t seem to be on my side yet, so my skihours are getting a bit low. Decided today that I would make the best of it and rest for a couple of days and go for a massage. Said and done. Feels a bit better but the masseuse discovered some pretty beat up muscles and ordered rest for at least two days (or a week). So not much is gonna go down for myself theese next days. I´ll try to get my camera out and take a few photos of Breck for you.

Yesterday we visited Pk and his awesome roomie who had the typical College Party during the night. It was wet. And a bit on the drunk side. Pretty cool anyways, check out the day after filming by Pk and Johnny.

Just want to mention that Lars Håååååååkooon, our norwegian friend has the longest streak of epic fails I´ve ever seen.... he is responsible for a bit of the mess... but not all of it ;)

And this is the slopestyle run Piffen threw down in the red line a couple of days ago.... yes it is a loooong park when you hit it like this!

New dub

Yesterday can be described as two things:

1. The best day ever!
2. Breckenridge jumps are amazing!

Finally got my shit together and managed to throw down my first switch dub 900. Felt soo good. Me Piffen and Niklas shredded Freeway all day and just chilled with some sw rodeos until Niklas came up with the trick of the day. Said and done, I did the first try and locked my ski in the kicker so it almost went strait to... well you know. But I managed to pull it off. Piffen answered this with a sw dub 12 that he was so close to stomp. Niklas didn´t feel the speed so unfortunatly he went home without the dub. But it will come! After a few more dubs I had mine down and Piffen styled his sw dub 9 out of this world!

The day ended with the victorious cigarr I always carry around, and a nice tub.

Today it´s our first rest of the trip... and my neck decided that for me. Slept in a bad way and can now hardly turn my head... hello painkillers! Anyways, we´re all at home (a bit cloudy, and everyones feeling seven days of skiing in legs, arms, head... well the whole body), so we´re going into Silverthorne for some sightseeing.

We´ll see if we´re going into Breck for the Ullr festival (Ullr=snowgod) this night.

Til then, stay fresh!

And oyeah... Piffen styled my hair last night!

Edit from Breck and Key

Morningtime here so now it´s time to head out!

Ciao!

Co update

A good day today!

The bluebird doesn´t stop and today we ditched keystone for Breckenridge and skied freeway (Breck big park) all day. Went good! Piffen showed the way with a switch double ten and I followed with a double lincoln. Good to have the doubles down this early at the season.

We skied for five hours and then it was time to call it a day. Sore muscles need to heal up and there are more days coming up!

Other than this we had the pleasure of riding along with our busdriver.... we think he have inhaled something that isn´t just tobaco... but we got home safe anyway. Bit of an experience though considering that he talked all the way home about tourists that he dislikes... (the really rich ones who wants to show of).

Now it´s time for some chilltime in front of the tv.

Pics from the day;

U S and A

So, christmas time is chill time. Been at home trying to rehab my back and it seems to been working pretty good.

Started out travelling again three days ago. First train to Arlanda (2 switches and delayed).

My travelbuddies

Flight to Frankfurt (delayed). Tried to sleep in a huge hall but couldn´t. Piffen and Daniel had a competition who stayed up the longest. Piffen won. Me and him didn´t sleep at all. God damn airports are never quiet!

This is 3 am.                   Piffen a bit tired...

9 hours later we continued to Chicago. Missed our connecting flight and got booked at another that was supposed to go 2 hours later... luckely that was delayed too, so we got rebooked at another flight leaving four hours later. Got on that and landed in Denver at five pm, instead of one pm.... no worries, our bags were already there and we got in a van at seven. Cruised up to Breckenridge and opened my skibag..... not my bag offcourse. Now that is a problem. Threw myself at the phone and called the airport.

Short version: Sleep four hours. Get on a Cme van and go back 2.5 hours to the airport. Return the wrong skibag (that is identical to mine). Ask around for my own bag and realise that someone else has taken it. A so called Double Switchup according to the personal. Talk to the woman who has the lost and found. Report the missing skibag. Get on the next Cme van. 2.5 h up to breckenridge and on the phone again. It´s found!

So right now I´m waiting at home for my skis while the others are out ripping the park. 2 dec of fresh snow and bluebird.... sometimes life is a bit bitter.
